Johanna Laitinen
Artist
“My mission as an artist is to reduce loneliness by connecting with individuals in the community one interaction at a time, through sharing relatable art: paintings as well as poetry. My education and career as a School Psychologist has inspired my goal to teach children art and literacy.”
Johanna is a self-taught artist, born in Victoria BC and living in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
After a career as a cartographer applying black ink to white velum, Johanna is now a colourist applying acrylic to canvas.
The unique landscape of the Okanagan valley is an inspiration to create the moods, atmosphere and light of the Okanagan.
While her primary concentration is Landscapes, she also creates Still Life and portraits.
